Dancers, I am VERY excited to sponsor Casey Bond in this workshop. It will help dancers at every level. Limited to 12 students.
Workshop description:
Tips, Tricks & Techniques from a “bellydancer-friendly” drummergirl
to help you blow your audience away!
Intro: Recorded Drum Solos VS Live Drum Solos
Live Drum Solo Basics – Rhythms, Accents, Connections and Endings!
Rhythms: “Name it & Claim it!” (Common rhythms in 2/4/ 4/4 & 8/4)
Accents: hear it, dance it, work it, own it!
Connections: with the rhythms, audience & drummer!
Endings: Finish like the Raq Star you are!!!!
Live Drum Solos for Everyone!
Wrapping it up!
But wait — there’s more! The party will continue at the All Seasons Hafla in the afternoon! Casey will be playing live drum solos, and a couple of workshop participants will get to perform! Details TBD.
