Recreating looks from the past, Vintage Looks of the 1920’s-1930’s – Reverend Valentine
Who doesn’t love the sultry silent film era where women were rebellious and sassy and their spunk kept evolving right into the 30’s! In this workshop we will learn how to recreate those classic looks from finger waves to pin curls, smokey eyes to the perfect Cupid’s bow on your lips. I will show you the basics of how to create these looks and what you need to power load your makeup bag with to get that spot on vintage look. Sign up soon, spots are limited!
Different music, different flavor – Latifa
As dancers, we should be versatile enough to dance to different types of music. When we change musical styles, our expressions and stage persona should change, too. {No hopping around and smiling to slow somber music!) For this workshop, we will be working with excerpts of 3 different songs: 1) A vintage song that will be perfect for your vintage makeup; 2) a cheeky Shaabi song that will let your Bad Girl out; and 3) a classic song by Um Kulthum, which calls for subtly expressing the feeling of the song and lyrics. Lyrics will be provided, and this workshop is suitable for all levels.
Workshop price $75 – or select the morning or afternoon workshops separately, $40 each
